Part 5:

Patrick and Bo2:

Bo2 “I said… how do you know my wife?! You want us to talk? Fine!! Start talking… fast.”

Patrick paces for a moment then answers, “Yes I know your wife. I am her friend.”

Bo2, “She’s never mentioned a Patrick before. And I’ve already said I don’t know you… so try again how do you know my wife?” We can tell that the only thing keeping Bo from getting violent here is he wants answers.

Patrick sits down and says, “Listen… if we are going to straighten this out we need to start at the beginning.” He can tell Bo is about to reiterate his original question but Patrick cuts him off. “I know you want to know about Hope. And we’ll get to that. Just trust me when I tell you that she is fine and I have not, nor would I ever, harm her.” Bo2 looks as if he’s thinking about that and will accept it for now. Patrick continues, “What is the last thing you remember prior to waking up here?”

Bo2 thinks for a moment and then sits down. He says, “I… was looking for Hope. You said you’ve worked with DiMera in the past so hopefully this won’t sound as crazy to you as it would someone else… Stefano DiMera had brainwashed my wife into believe she was some Princess he use to know and work with. I was here trying to find her and save her from that.” He pauses and we can tell he is struggling with a memory…

We get a flashback (newly created one) of him standing in a empty street market area. We hear Bo2’s voice narrating, “I was waiting for Hope, she had said she’d meet me in this marketplace.” We see Hope with her PG look on her face walking towards Bo2 with his back to her. She grabs him from behind and injects something in a syringe into his neck. He falls to the ground looking up at her and sees her face fade out with a smile on it, then he goes black.

Back to present, Bo2 looks at Patrick and says, “She knocked me out. It was Hope… I mean Gina… Hope was under Stefano’s control but she knocked me out.” Bo2 puts his face in his hands. “My god… that’s the last thing I remember. She must still be brainwashed… which means she is dangerous. I have to find her quick.”

Patrick looks seriously distressed. He says, “ ‘Princess Gina’?” Bo2 asks surprised, “You know her?” Patrick, “I know OF her. I never met her but she was legend to be ruthless. I saw a picture of her once, old photo, not very good” He give a little private smile and mutters to himself.. “no wonder I though for nobility when I saw you..” Bo2 say “What’d you say?”  Patrick, “nothing… just thinking.” He pauses and asks Bo2, “You said Stefano did this to Hope. Recently or a long time ago?” Bo2 explains about how he thought Hope was dead but then found she was alive and with Stefano as ‘Gina’ and then how Hope was ‘recently’ turned back into Gina.” Patrick looks confused and then appears as if something obvious just dawned on him. He turns to Bo2 and asks, “What year do you think this is?”

Hope:

Hope is in the airport talking to a man in a suit. Picture FBI man. :) He hands her a box and asks her to sign here a piece of paper. Hope thanks him and tells him to tell Shane she said hello. He says he will and walks off. Hope walks to a private area and opens the box, inside we see a gun. She says out loud to herself, “Hopefully I won’t need it, but if Patrick is heading into danger then best to be prepared.” She puts it in the gun behind her back and then takes out her phone and dials, “Now to find out exactly where you are, Patrick” We hear the phone start to ring.

Patrick and Bo2:

Bo2 slams Patrick up against the wall yelling at him “5 years!?!?! What the hell are you playing at?! How could I have been gone for 5 years!? What the hell have you done to me!” Patrick pulls Bo2 off of him and says “I don’t know! But it sure as hell isn’t MY fault, and this sure as hell isn’t making my life any less complicated either so back off!!”

The two separate and take opposite corners. Patrick takes a couple caution steps toward Bo2, we can tell he really is confused but feels for Bo2. Patrick says, a bit panting from the struggle still, “Look… I’m not the bad guy… okay I’m not a bad guy any more.” He smiles trying to lighten the mood some. “You have a big problem here… we both do. There are two Bo Brady’s walking around and I have no idea which one of you, if either, is the real one!” Bo2 still angry but holding it in says “I am Bo Brady… whoever this guy in Salem is he’s a fake…. He… he is with Hope!” Bo suddenly looks very panicked. Patrick looks at him wondering how much he should tell him. Patrick just says shaking his head, “No, not at the moment he isn’t, Hope’s is safe.”

Bo2 paces around the room as if looking for something. “I want a news paper.” Patrick, “Trust me… it really is 5 years from what you remember. I remember my sister telling me something about Hope being brainwashed before now that you mention it. Whatever happened with Gina and your wife is long over.” Bo2 “You have family in Salem?” Patrick says “Yes, a mother and two siblings.”  Bo2 walks over closer to Patrick and says very calmly and almost as if he is defeated, He starts to say something then breaks off as if very upset and covers his face with his hands. Patrick puts a hand of comfort on his shoulder. Bo then whips out and punches Patrick in the face knocking him out. Bo says “Well then you will understand why I have to do this, friend. This is taking too long and I have to go save my family.” He takes off leaving Patrick unconscious on the floor. Outside the door he says to himself “I’m coming for you Hope.”

Back inside the room Patrick is laying out cold and his cell phone that is laying on the table starts to ring, we see its screen display read “Hope”.
