Part 6:

Hope:

Hope is now walking through town with her cell phone out. She hangs it up saying “Why isn’t he answering?” She looks worried. She then takes out a device that looks like a GPS tracker and clicks it on. When she looks down onto it we see behind her Bo2 at a news stand looking at a paper and it’s date. They do not see each other but are only about 20 feet apart. We see on Hope’s GPS a blip on a map. “There you are.” She takes off at a brisk pace away from Bo2.

Patrick:

Patrick is laying on the floor still unconscious. We get a flash of light and know we are now seeing a flashback of Patrick’s past:

*flashback: Patrick and another man are dressed in black and perched on top of a roof looking through binoculars. We see them looking down into a shop at a woman we recognize as Alma. Patrick suddenly says, “We have to call it off, Clancy.” Clancy whispers back, “What? Why?” Patrick hands them the binoculars and points to the shop. Clancy looks through them and says, “wow… nice. But I don’t understand why we have to call this off because the guy has a wife half his age and hot as all hell.”

Patrick smirks then says, “She’s not his wife, she’s his daughter. I’m not killing a man in front of his child.” Clancy scoffs looking back at Alma via the binoculars, “She is hardly a child.” Patrick, “I don’t care. I’m not doing it.” He starts to stand up to leave but Clancy pulls him back down, “Are you nuts! We have orders, have been paid! If Toscano lives it will be YOU and I who are pushing up daisies by this time tomorrow! I’m not letting you ruin our lives because you have an attack of conscious!” Patrick reluctantly sinks back down beside Clancy. Clancy says while positioning the sniper rifle and looking through the scope, “Besides… if we don’t do it then they will only hire Vinnie to do it and you know how messy he likes to be… our pretty new friend down there certainly would be collateral damage along with this entire block of Venice.” Patrick looks down towards the shop with a look of sadness and hopelessness. He knows Clancy is right. We see Alma and an older man talking and walking around inside. We then here the pop of a silenced shot and see the glass of the window crack and the man inside fall to the ground. Alma screams (although we can’t hear it) and kneels next to her father crying. She looks up out the window with tears in her face… then her face morphs into Hopes. *

Back to present we see Patrick still on the floor unconscious but starting to stir. He mutters “Alma!... Hope!” He then sits straight up awake yelling “Hope!” just as Hope comes running into the room gun drawn. She sees him on the floor with blood on his lip (from where Bo2 hit him) and runs to his side saying, “My god… what happened!?”

Salem:

Bo1 goes to visit Chelsea in jail. She is brought out in the prison garb and complains about it but is obviously joking although we can tell she is joking to hide she is scared. Bo1 asks if she is okay she says yes and that she has been treated fine and so far is even alone in her cell.

Bo1 tells her he talked to Hope and she will be back for the trial. Chelsea says it was a mistake to ever try and keep her away and that Hope deserves to be there and she (Chelsea) deserves to be in jail. Bo1 tells her no that isn’t true, that Hope is just out for revenge for something that was an accident. Chelsea says “no… Hope was right about me… more right then even she realized.” Bo1 asks what she means. Chelsea starts to explain, “Hope welcomed me in with open arms, even though she must have known what problems I would cause for her and you. And I betrayed her in the worst possible way.” She is visibly upset and tearing up. “Dad, I really did not mean to kill Zack, but… I wasn’t really upset by it either.” Bo1 looks horrified at this. Chelsea continues, “Dad… I… I am not the good person you think I am.” She is crying now. “I am cold, calculating, and more focused on my goals then you know. When Zack died I knew it would destroy you and Hope, I took that opportunity and exploited it. I am the reason you and Hope are apart.”

Bo1 looks as if he’s in a nightmare, “No…no… Hope left because I lied to her. You cared for Zack, I saw how upset you were at his death. You… you’re just being hard on yourself.” We can tell not even Bo is totally buying what he is saying but he can’t accept what he is hearing and looking for an excuse for it to not be true. But Chelsea continues, “No Dad… No I didn’t want Zack, or anyone to die, that was never in the plan. But what I felt after his death was fear for myself and little more. … But when I ended up in that sewer, about to die…” She chuckles in a ‘how ironic’ sort of way…”Its sad really… a child’s death… my own brother… didn’t move me, but facing my own death did. If that isn’t proof to you as to what I am then I don’t know what will. When was down there you know what I was thinking about?” Bo1 just shakes his head in silent response.

Chelsea continues, “I was thinking about Hope. I know your history with her and Billie. I know everything. And I thought back to when you first found me. I realized exactly what I must have been in Hope’s eyes… I am the living embodiment of the pain you and Billie have caused her. If I were her… I would have killed me on sight. But Hope… she not only never harmed me she called me ‘family’. Even when she thought my mother killed Zack she embraced me. And what did I do in return?” She pauses since we all know the answer. “I laid there in that sewer and realized I was going to die with one big unanswered question…’why?!’ Why would Hope be kind to me? Why would Shawn risk his life to save mine? I do not understand your family. And I do not understand you. How could you choose Billie over Hope?” Bo1 now looks a little angry, but she keeps talking. “The only reason I can figure it that you are so messed up by Zack, me, and Billie that you don’t know what you are doing. So this is what is going to happen. I’m going to plead guilty to manslaughter and you are going to fight for Hope. You are going to win her back and stay away from Billie Reed.”

Bo1 sits there for a moment seething in anger. He does not look like Bo at all. He slowly stands up and walks over to the bars, “Now you listen to me. I have risked EVERYTHING for you! I have lost Hope, Shawn, Zack… my entire family is against me. All I have now is you and your mom. And I’ll be damned if I’m letting you ruin my life again because you had an attack of conscious!!” Chelsea stumbles back in shock at Bo1’s demeanor and words. Bo1 continues, “Now I will tell you what you are going to do. You are going to shut up and sit here until I figure a way out of this. And don’t think of  trying to do anything noble like getting in touch with Hope yourself. I’m instructing the guards not to allow you any phone calls except to me. Do you understand.” Chelsea nods but starts to protest, Bo stops her with a raise of his hand and walks to the door. Chelsea then gets to her feet and yells, “Wait!” Bo1 turns and says “I think you’ve said enough for one day.” As he closes the door Chelsea yells, “But this is my fault! I told Hope you wanted the divorce!” Bo has the door open a crack and hears this then shuts it as Chelsea yells after him while shaking the bars… “Just ask Billie about the night in the motel! Just ask her!!!!”

Bo stands outside the door looking 10 shades of p!ssed. He turns to the guard and says “No visitors. No phone calls unless to me” and then leaves.

Chelsea sinks back onto her chair looking confused and a bit panicked. She says “What have I done?”
