Part 7:

Patrick and Hope:

Hope rushes to help Patrick up asking if he is okay. He shakes it off and gets to a chair. He looks around for Bo2 but of course he is gone. He looks at Hope and asks what she is doing there, that he told her he had to do this alone. Hope gives him the eyebrow and tells him he better get use to the fact that she does as she sees fit. He smiles and says “Nice way to say you’re stubborn.” Hope smiles back, “well if you want to be with me it is best you know that upfront.” Patrick’s smile fads…”I do want to be with you Hope… more then anything. But, something has happened… something that will change everything.” Hope looks concerned.

Bo2:

Out in the market Bo2 is searching for a phone. He finds one and dials a number. We hear over the phone a recording saying “We’re sorry the number you are trying to reach is no longer in serves.” Bo2 hangs up and then tries another number it rings and picks up. We hear Bo, Hope’s, and Zack’s voice over the phone saying, “Hi you’ve reached, Bo, Hope, and Zack! Please leave a message and we’ll get back to you.” Bo2 looks confused and hangs up without leaving a message and asks to himself “Zack?”. Call number 3, he calls information and asks for a number in the US for a Shawn Brady in Salem. The operator finds it and connects him. It rings and we see Mimi back in Salem look at the number and not recognizing it answers it and says “hello?”

Bo2 says, “Is Shawn Brady there.” Mimi looks confused she says, “Bo? Um… yeah he’s here but he said he didn’t want to talk to you… where are you calling from I didn’t recognize the number?” Bo2 says, “Look, um… miss… put Shawn on the phone, this is an emergency.” Mimi looks even more confused and mouths the word “miss?” Then looks back to the bedroom where we assume Shawn is and we can tell she’s wondering what to do. Finally she sighs and says “okay hang on.” She goes to Shawn and hands him the phone covering the mouth piece. She says “It’s your father.. and he sounds really weird.” Shawn is instantly angry and says “hang it up… I’m done talking to him.” Mimi looks sympathetic but says “I know, but he said it was an emergency… he sounds weird, I think you should take it.” Shawn looks at her and then the phone and says, “fine.”

Shawn takes the phone and says “What do you want?” Bo2 says quickly and excitedly “Shawn! Thank god. Listen to me, I need your help… where is your mother. It is vital I find her right away.” Shawn looks like he is going to puke. He snaps back, “This is why you are calling?! You really are getting desperate. I already talked to mom and told her everything. I’m not helping you find her just so you can upset her more. Get out of our lives and stay out. And do NOT call me again!” with that he hangs up the phone.

Bo2 stands there mouth a gap.

Patrick and Hope:

Hope asks Patrick what he is talking about. Patrick sits her down and asks her to tell him about Princess Gina. She gives him the quick and dirty version and then asks why he wants to know. He asks her if she remembers anything about her time as Gina, she says only a little and that frankly she has always been afraid to find out more. She’s happier not knowing. He asks her if she knew of any other copies, or look a likes, that Stefano had besides her. She mentions briefly the John/Roman connections but other then that no she doesn’t know of anyone. She asks why. Patrick pauses. He then tells her the entire story about Alex giving him the address and telling him to destroy it. Hope asks him why he didn’t tell her sooner. Patrick says “for two reasons. One.. I was afraid it was a trap and Alex was just trying to get me out of the picture too. I didn’t want you in harms way if it was. Two, what if there was something there that would keep you from me… I admit I was afraid of what I might find. And now I realize I had every right to be afraid.”

Hope looks at him confused and worried. She puts her hand on his face and says “Patrick… what could possibly be in that building that would change things with Bo and I. Bo has ruined what we had… there is no going back. I want to move on with my life. I want to see if you and I have a future.” Patrick looks sad and takes Hope’s hand and says to her very tenderly. “I love you. But I’m no fool. I know you will always have love for Bo and… and if he were who he use to be… if the Bo who fought for you and not betrayed you came back… I know who you would pick.” Hope looks at him even more confused and says, “Patrick, you are talking crazy. Tell me what you found in that building and I’ll tell you that you are overreacting.”

Patrick says, “I’ll do better then tell you. Give me your gun and 20 minutes and I’ll show you what I found.” Hope looks hesitant and then hands him her gun. He says, “I know you are stubborn, but trust me on this one and just wait here for 20 minutes… if I’m not back you can come find me.” He pauses and then says with a smile “Speaking of which… how DID you find me?” She smiles and says guiltily, “I uh… put a gps tracking device in your cell phone when you first told me about Alex’s plan for you.” Patrick smiles and says “you really are something.”

He goes to leave and then stops and walks back to Hope and kisses her passionately. She asks what was that for. He says “just in case I don’t get the chance again.” He leaves with Hope looking totally bewildered.

Salem:

Shawn is ranting about his Dad and Mimi is trying to calm him down. She asks him if he noticed the number he was calling from and Shawn says no and why would he. She picks up the phone and checks the last calling number. She says… “this isn’t a US number.” Shawn walks over at looks at it. His anger on hold for the moment he says “huh… that is weird. How would my dad be calling from another country?” Mimi suggests he call his cell but Shawn refuses saying he is sure this is just a ploy. Mimi doesn’t look to convinced but doesn’t know what else to say.

Bo2:

Bo is pacing by the phone trying to think. He finally says he will try home again and picks up the phone and dials. This time someone picks up we hear a female voice say “Hello?” Bo2’s momentary happy expression at thinking he got Hope on the line subsides when he recognizes the voice. He says… “Billie??” Billie says “Bo where are you? I thought you’d be home by now.”

Before he can say more a hand reaches over and hangs up the phone. Bo2 turns and sees it is Patrick standing there with a gun pointed at him. Patrick tells him to hang up the phone and come with him. Bo2 sighs and says “Do you know why my son hates me and Billie Reed is answering my home phone number?” Patrick says “Yes.” Bo2 sighs and says “then you can put the gun away… I’ll come back with you. I need to know what you know.” Patrick gives him a sympathetic smile and says “yeah… you do… but you’re not going to like it.”
