Part 10:

 

Bo2 and Patrick:

Bo2 is sitting on the floor with his head in his hands. Patrick is sitting across from him. Bo2, we can only guess has been filled in to a lot of what’s missing. He raises his head he is visibly upset, eyes are glossy, shaken. Bo2 says, “Hope and I had a son… and my… daughter killed him. I… How? How could Georgia even be alive?” Patrick shakes his head and says he has no idea. Bo2 “And Zack… my god I never even knew him!” He is crying. Patrick thinks for a moment and says, “You do realize… I mean, I don’t want this to sound cold but, we don’t even know if he was yours, or the son of the Bo that is in Salem. He obviously was conceived around the time the switch would have taken place.” Bo2 just shakes his head and says firmly “NO. If he was Hope’s son then he was my son. Simple as that. Besides… I can’t imagine… Hope… having to go through that alone!” We can see how upset and angry he is all at once. He continues his rant “The one person who should have been with her wasn’t… me!!” He stands up and is visibly angry. “I hate the thought of another man being with Hope.” (que uncomfortable look from Patrick)  “But… if he had comforted her… been there for her! I mean strange as it may sound at least that would be some comfort!! But no! He is with Billie! BILLIE!!!”

 

Patrick says gently in hopes of helping, “She had Shawn, her parents and friends.” Bo2 says “…’friends’.. you mean you?” Patrick says quickly “Well yeah but not just me. She wasn’t alone.”

 

Bo2 turns and asks Patrick pointedly, “I need to know… has Hope moved on… with you?” Patrick is visibly uncomfortable he says, “Hope isn’t in a position where she should be moving on with anyone… no matter what she says.” He looks a little defeated, like he knows he will loose Hope. He continues, “No matter how much she may deny it and try to force herself to feel differently… she is still in love with Bo Brady.”  Bo2 looks at him and we can tell he knows Patrick just dodged the question but before he can say anything Patrick continues. He says, “Look I’m not defending the Bo in Salem… but you have to also keep in mind that he also lost a child… AND was concerned for his new found daughter.”

 

Bo2 stops and looks at him, “This Chelsea… she can’t be Georgia… its impossible. I mean Billie said she held her when she was born… her body was moved to Salem.” Patrick says, “The Bo in Salem and Billie have not doubted Chelsea is Georgia… and they had DNA tests to prove it… I don’t know, but whoever Chelsea is she seems to in fact be the daughter of Bo and Billie.” Bo2 paces the floor obviously trying to get things straight in his head. He stammers, “I… I suppose, I mean Tony and Stefano always had their ways. I guess it is possible they could have switched babies on Billie… it just seems to elaborate, even for them.” Patrick just shrugs unable to help Bo2 set it right.

 

Bo2 stops pacing and turns to Patrick with a serious look on his face…and says, “I have to get back to Salem before this man makes things worse.” Patrick looks around the room and says, “Yeah we both do… but (he whispers) we are going to have to plan this carefully.”

 

Salem:

 

It is night and Bo1 is asleep in bed, he is tossing and turning. We see his dreams and we see:

 

Alma and Patrick kissing. Clancy saying “I won’t let Lockhart have her!” We see then Alma morph into Hope and then Billie then back to Alma a gunshot sound and Patrick kneeling over a dead Alma and Clancy holding a sniper rifle crying saying “NO NO NO…” We then hear Mason’s voice saying to Clancy “You won’t remember your life as Clancy Ryan, you won’t remember anything. But you will have a wife, a family… everything you ever wanted. All you have to do is say ‘yes’.” Clancy’s voice asking “who will I be?” Mason answers “whoever we choose to make you.” Finaly there is a flash of Bo and Shawn’s fight and Shawn saying Bo is not his father. Then a shot from Chelsea and Bo’s conversation and he telling her they will be a family.

 

Bo1 wakes with a start and sits up in bed. He gets up and goes to the bathroom and splash water on his face, he looks at himself in the mirror and says to himself, for a brief moment we see Clancy’s reflection instead of Bo’s. He blinks and dries his face then looks again and says “I’m getting my family together starting now.” He leaves.

 

Bo1 goes to see Frankie and as he is about to enter his office it opens and Doug and Julie come out. They stop and talk to Bo. Julie hugs Bo and say she knows the family is angry with him and she is too but she knows he is also suffering. She begs him to stop this divorce and go and fight for Hope that they belong together and their love is special. Bo doesn’t say much just listens. Julie starts to leave and Doug tells her he will meet her at the car that he wants to talk to Bo alone. Julie gives him a look but agrees. After Julie is gone Doug turns to Bo and says, “Okay son you listen to me. You understand something and understand it good… Hope may be your wife, may be a mother and a grown woman… but she is and always be MY little girl. And Zack was my baby’s baby. Julie is more forgiving then I am and so is Hope. But you come near my daughter again… you hurt her again and I swear to you that it will come down to you and me.” Bo stands there in utter shock. Bo stammers out…”Doug… listen I…”

 

But Doug cuts him off and continues, “You know I did not approve of you and Hope in the beginning but all I have ever wanted was for my daughter to be happy so I gave you a chance. And I grew to love you like a son, Bo. So believe me when I say that you have disappointed me more then anyone ever has. I trusted you with my daughter and you betrayed her. I don’t give second chances when it comes to my baby, but I have given you several. You left her for Billie when Hope first came back to us, and I said nothing and forgave you because she did. You abandoned her when Zack was born, and again she forgave you so I did too. And now you betrayed her again… with Billie and Chelsea and you finally pushed her too far. She has asked you for a divorce now Bo… so the gloves are off. You stay away from Hope, you give her her divorce and let her get on with her life. I know she is still in love with you I know part of her would want me to be like Julie and help you get her back… but she is my baby… and unlike you I know how to help my children. I won’t let them continue to be hurt!”

 

Bo1 stammers back… “Doug… I never meant to hurt Hope.” Doug just says, “I know Bo… that’s why you are such a threat to her.” Bo1 sighs and we can tell he is somewhere between sad and pissed, “Well… don’t worry Doug, I’m here to see Frankie to tell him to push the divorce forward. I’m getting out of Hope’s life for good now.” Doug gets this look on his face that is kinda a smile but not in a good way and says with a half laugh, “And here I was thinking you may actually fight for her after all. Well then good bye Bo… I hope you are happy with the life you have chosen for yourself.” Doug gives him one last dagger look and shakes his head and leaves. Bo looks a bit beaten down but also somewhat determined he then barges into Frankie’s office.
